Xbox Game Pass continues to serve up a wide variety of games across genres, and July is no different. One of the newest additions is Minami Lane, a cozy, bite-sized life sim inspired by the charm of small-town Japan. As always, Microsoft rotates titles in and out of the Game Pass library each month to keep things fresh, with several subscription tiers available to suit different player preferences.
July has already seen a strong lineup hit the service. Things kicked off with Little Nightmares II, the haunting sequel to the critically acclaimed horror adventure from Tarsier Studios. It was quickly followed by Rise of the Tomb Raider, Legend of Mana, Trials of Mana, and the cyberpunk action-RPG The Ascent from Neon Giant.
Now, starting July 9, subscribers can dive into Minami Lane. This relaxing management sim can be completed in just a few hours and was co-developed by indie studios Doot and Blibloop. Originally launched in August 2024, the game now arrives on Game Pass for the first time, letting players experience its chill vibes at no extra cost.
Set on a cozy, Japanese-style street filled with ramen shops, bubble tea cafes, bookstores, and flower boutiques, Minami Lane invites players to get to know the locals, build the businesses they need, manage inventory and pricing, and help the town flourish. It’s light, charming, and perfect for fans of relaxing sims.
And there’s still more on the way. On July 11, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 — a remake of the iconic early 2000s skateboarding games — drops on Game Pass as a day-one release. Then, on July 15, High on Life makes its return after being removed in mid-2024. To round out the month, two more day-one launches will land on the service: the dark action RPG Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, and the early access debut of Obsidian’s Grounded 2.
July is shaping up to be another packed month for Game Pass — whether you’re into chill sims, high-flying tricks, or gritty RPGs, there’s something new to jump into.
